SATURDAY NIGHT
What a great 55th Reunion at Barragan’s!! We celebrated Marilyn Williams Peterson’s 73rd Birthday, had great food, great service & fun personal stories were told by all in attendance! Gene Hernandez was our MC extraordinaire! Jim Cameron got up & recited a funny, and very long poem he had learned in 8th grade! You just had to be there! When Deanna Lloyd Jennings got her $100.00 plus bar bill she freaked out! It was actually Jim Cameron’s who had been teasing her all night about her paying for his drinks! We all had a wonderful time sharing stories of days gone by. We are all looking forward to the next Get Together!

MORE GREAT PHOTOS FROM JOHN AND CATHY COYLE FROM SATURDAY OCT 15, 2022
(all text written by Cathy Nicholls Coyle - THANKS CATHY!)
Saturday morning we were suppose to have a picnic at McCambridge Park. Wouldn’t you know it (since it never rains in California) that it would pick that day to rain on our scheduled picnic? Actually it turned out better since we took our picnic to the the Springhill Suites lobby to stay dry & warm & further enjoy each other’s company. We even had a Sports tv for the guys! And girls too!

Rudy Pinnow & Connie brought in Pizza!

I just want to thank these great people here for indulging me in participating in this “elevator photo.” Like they had a choice!! Not!! Doesn’t everyone do this?

Linda told a very funny story about how, after one of our Reunions, she had gone to an after party unknowingly using her eye pencil as a lip liner. When she came in we were all whispering & wondering what new fad was Linda into now? Then Marilyn Miller took a quick look at her & innocently asked Linda: “What is up with your lips??” We all burst into laughter. Linda was a good sport about it. Especially when a few of the girls put eye pencil on their lips & sent her a photo. Thanks Linda for being the great & funny person you are!!

Carol Brown Baker & I sat down, for the first time ever, & sang the Hawaiian version of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” sung by IZ. It was so much fun! Cathy Palmer joined in with us & thankfully Carol had the words for them on her iPad

It was so nice to have this nice long table at the Hotel to be able to sit & eat our picnic lunches & socialize.

We all had fun listening to & sharing stories.

Marilyn Williams Peterson brought some yummy cookies to share that she baked herself!

CLASS OF 1962 REUNION AT ELKS CLUB SAME WEEKEND
While we were at the Lodge we checked out the BHS Class of 62 decorations. They did an excellent job of decorating!

CLASS OF 1962 REUNION AT ELKS CLUB SAME WEEKEND
They were expecting over 80 guests. I’d say that was a pretty good turnout for a 60th Reunion!

CLASS OF 1962 REUNION AT ELKS CLUB SAME WEEKEND
It was so neat how they decorated this wall with some blasts from the past! I’m sure they all had a great time.

John & I made a stop at the Burbank Elks Lodge where we found Bambi out walking her Beagle, Jake. Jim Cameron brought his motorhome because Jake doesn’t like to be left behind. Jake sure is a cutie!!

This girl here is showing off her cute little designer purse, with her well manicured nails & techy Apple Watch. She kept pulling things out of her purse like it was a Magic trick! And what are you going to do with that banana Miss Linda Peterson Everett??? “Oops! Did I say that?”

Ron Wysocky, Deanna Lloyd Jennings & Sue Lane Richard.

We had a wonderful time! Thank you Carol for sharing your musical talent with us. She made it so easy & comfortable for us to sing along with her.

  1. The 55 year reunion was great!
    (1) I also like the photo of the class of 1962 60 year reunion badges with high school photos. If we have a 60th reunion we should have similar badges so we can look at them and see the people we used to be!
    (2) Let's also be sure at that time to sign our ol' alma mater song like the class of 1968 did and is posted on YouTube "Burbank High School Alma Mater" For many of us it will probably be the last time!

The 55 year reunion was great! If we have a 60th let's pay more and have yearbook photo badges so we can see the people we once were. AND let's be sure to sing our Alma Matter Song like the class of 1968 has on YouTube. For many it will be the last time.
