Just received sad news for our BHS classmates... Ken Peterson passed away yesterday.

I am so sorry to have to share the news that Ken Peterson died yesterday. You will remember than Ken and I were not only friends at Burbank, but that we both went to Stanford and remained very close through all of the years since. This hits me so hard.
Cause of death is a complicated and not completely understood mix of chronic health issues. He was doing OK until just a couple of weeks ago, and then things went bad so suddenly.
We don't have an obituary yet, but I will share it when we do. I do have a summary of his distinguished legal career, which I will send you when I get the obit. His dates are 05 May 1949 to 07 Oct 2026.

So sorry to hear this. In high school a few of us got together & tried to form a singing group called: The New Christy Minstrels. Had a few practices in the school cafeteria but never ventured any further. God Bless you Ken. You can sing your heart out in Heaven. ❤️
OCTOBER 10, 2026 UPDATE
Hello, friends of Ken. This is his son, Ben.
I’m very sorry to share that my dad has passed away. He had an infection that developed into septic shock, resulting in an ICU stay that started on Wednesday, September 16.
After some time in the hospital, he was transferred to a skilled nursing facility to try to rehab. Unfortunately, his health took a sharp turn last weekend, prompting an emergency hospice intake on Monday night. He died at around 6:15 AM on Wednesday, October 7.
We are planning to have a memorial early in the afternoon on Saturday, December 5, here in the Portland area. Details to come.
Please feel free to share memories of my dad here in the comments. I will also post a link here for my dad's memorial website within the next week or so.
