Eliede "Lee" Drost Pounds, BHS '67 (1948-2023)
This is very sad... we just learned that Lee Drost Pounds passed away last night. Her brother Henry Drost said she had cancer surgery 45 days ago.
Lee was born in Holland and grew up in Burbank. She lived in Ahwahnee, Calif. Her other brother, Peter Drost, BHS '65, passed away in 2019. Read more here.
I have fond and fun memories of Lee from high school. We reconnected on Facebook and she has come to a few class relunions including last year. Such a sweet person who will be greatly missed by many.
We send our deepest heartfelt condolences to her family.
Lee sent this photo from last year's reunion at Barragan's in Burbank.

In Jr High Larry used to like my sister, Carol. He went to the World’s Fair with his family & brought back both of us souvenir scarves. He was always such a kind soul. I loved hearing him sing on our Class Zoom sessions. He would just bolt out singing Opera. So sorry to hear he has passed away. RIP Larry.

We were really good friends in high school did some crazy things…I will miss you Larry …RIP.
Hi Cathy. Here is a postable Memorial card. I read some of the comments on the blog and it made me so happy. Thanks for doing this.
It was Pancreatitis. Something new that came on all of a sudden and he passed within 48 hours. He had his family with him until the end. He was loving and faithful and was able to speak until the last 10 minutes of his life which was a blessing for us.

Alan Landros
I had a kidney transplant in 2008. At that time Dona and Scott still lived nearby to me in Valencia. After I got home from the hospital about ten days after my surgery Dona came over several times with dinners she had made for me, I'm remembering Italian dishes! She made enough for several meals each time she brought food to me. Now that is almost 15 years ago, but still a clear memory of her kindness to me! I feel badly for Scott, and also for Dona's sons. So sorry.
