Diana Dunnagan, BHS '67, (1949-2021)

 Diana Lynn Dunnagan 
March 6, 1949 - June 3, 2021 

I am so sorry to say we lost another classmate. Annette Winkler, BHS '67, just sent this notice.

"Dearest Cathy, I am sad to report that Diana passed away on June 3rd. She passed away peacefully at her home in Indio, CA. I am envisioning her singing and dancing and making the angels smile. Please ask her classmates to give her a smile, as well, for her beautiful soul and the joy she brought to others through the gift God gave her of a phenomenal voice. Thanks and God bless, Annette" 

I remember in choir how Mr Hall picked Diana out from everyone as she had a beautiful voice! Plus, she had a great sense of humor and could act.  Below is a photo from our high school yearbook of a comedy play with both Diana, on the chairs, and Annette, standing on the left.

Connie Cirinelli Edwards, BHS '67 (1949-2021)

Denver, Colorado 

Oh so sad to learn that friend and classmate, Connie Cirinelli, unexpectantly passed away suddenly in her sleep today. 

Connie grew up in Burbank and was a fun friend from elementary school. We reconnected at our class reunion in 2007. She was a loving wife to Don and devoted mother and grandmother.

May God bless and comfort her family during this very painful time. 

RIP Connie.

    We chatted just last week. She described how good things were going. How very, very sad.
    Here’s what she wrote:
    "Good we never shut down like the big city did where I live now was not bad. I did find that I had a brother who is a retired federal fire man in Ca he came out for a visit sold his home in Ca and now he live a cross the street from us. He is also valinteer here now which is great for the area that I live in now im out of the city on an acre of land now with only 300 homes in our area and a lot of wild life no trains no stop lights and little crime around us a great place to live after my aortic aneurysm I had to make changes in my life I'm glad things are well for you."
    I tracked her down quite a few years ago. She and her daughter drove from Colorado to Las Vegas to meet me. It was great to see her.
    So many of our friends died during the pandemic — and it was impossible to gather to send them away. Carol Nicholls Lebrecht, Larry Hoberman, Alan Stone, Neal Steven Hershenson and now Connie Cirinelli.They were all so kind to me and everyone.

Nick Nappi, BHS '67, Passed Away

Nicholas Ralph Nappi 
April 19, 1949 Los Angeles, Calif - Deceased - date unknown 

It is very sad to learn that classmate, Nicholas Ralph Nappi, passed away. 

We don't know details but his death has been confirmed by family. 

Nick was born April 19, 1949 and grew up in Burbank with his younger sister, Charlotte, BHS '68. After graduating from Burbank High in 1967, Nick went into the Air Force and ended up being with Al Thuotte, BHS '67. 

Al wrote, "Nick Nappi was in that group that came to the Air Force at Lackland Air Force base, Amarillo, Texas. I saw him walk into the room. We were in an old theater and I was up on the balcony up above. After about 2 minutes he looked around and up and saw me. We grew up together, we went to kindergarten school together... I miss his anecdotes when his stories would grow, you just couldn’t stop laughing." 

Nick married Kathy Bruse, BHS '66 and they had three children, Peter, Paul and Nicole. Later, the marriage ended in divorce. 

Rest in peace, Nick.
