OCTOBER 11, 2016 UPDATE
From Donna Luce Neitman...
Only 6 months to our Reunion Cruise and we are starting to hear from classmates that are booked their interest in different excursions while on the cruise. Currently San Francisco is the only port right now that is showing excursions. Princess has informed us that they are still negotiating contracts for the other ports for tours.

As we get more information we will post different ideas for you to consider.

Some of the questions we’ve heard are what to do while in San Francisco. The ship is within easy walking distance to Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, cable cars and Embarcadero. You can take a ferry from Fisherman’s Wharf or the Embarcadero to Sausalito. Muir Woods is another great way to spend the day. There are a number of tours available through Princess, however, you can also book direct and save some money.

If you are interested in Alcatraz the best site we have found to go to is www.alcatrazcruises.com. You cannot book with them until 90 days before our cruise, and it is refundable if you cancel 72 hours in advance. Cost is $33.50 currently for seniors.

If you choose to book excursions through Princess go to www.princess.com, log into your account and book excursions before sailing. Don’t wait to book on board because your excursion may be sold out and if it is available it will be about $20.00 more.

Princess excursions can also be arranged through our travel agent Kathryn Kisperash. kathrynkiperash@aaawa.com or call 208-666-5701I know for some of you first time cruisers it can be a little confusing but Kathryn is there to get you through it

Stay tuned for more information!

For those of you who are still thinking of joining us for the Reunion Cruise it is not to late!
Call Kathryn Kiperash 208-666-5701 or contact her at kathrynkiperash@aaawa.com
Mention the BHS Reunion Cruise.

Today, I received the following sad news:

Cathy:

I just found out that a classmate of ours from BHS class of ‘67 had passed away. Steve Walker and I had been friends since 8th grade at Luther Burbank Junior High. I got a call from his neighbor in regards of a letter I had sent Steve and he informed me that Steve passed away in his sleep on February 26, 2015 at the age of 66. His 66th birthday was in January. Steve and I played a lot of golf together during high school up a DeBell. Steve was living in Pacoima, CA at the time of his death.

Regards;

William B. McMillan
Class of ‘67

In the Ceralbus yearbook under Steve's name is says, "Coll. Prep. Marching Band 10; Camera CLub 10, 11, 12; Chemistry Club 12. Looks to the future at a JC."

Here is a 2009 photo from our class reunion.

Please keep Steve's family and friends in your prayers.

Betty Worland
This is exactly why each and every one of our reunions are so important to attend. Life throw us a lot of curve balls and you just never know! With each reunion, we take away memories of those near and dear to us! We also make everlasting friends that touch our hearts and keep their memory alive!

Dona Foy Porcaro Bruckner
This is so sad, I always talked to him at our yearly reunions, truly a super nice guy. RIP

David Hourigan
Very sad to hear this. I grew up with Steve at Franklin Elementary, Luther Burbank and then at Burbank. Spent a lot of time with him at the last reunion we attended. Very nice guy. He will be missed.

Jim Grasse
Great Man! Rest in Peace Steve!

Kathleen Becker
I lived next door to Steve, his mom and dad, Irmadale and Barney, on Pepper St. As a matter of fact Steve was my first "client" as a babysitter. I've often wondered about him, did he marry, have children? What did he do for a living? Nicest family you could ever hope to meet. Sorry to hear of his passing.
