Tragic news to share with you from Pierrette Follis Ray '67 who emailed this to me yesterday, September 4, 2009:
Cathy, I just wanted to let you know that Shirley Root Benson (from our 1967 graduating class) just lost her daughter yesterday. Cindy Marie Benson Ridgeway died yesterday morning of a surprise heart attack. She was just 38 years old. Her husband John Ridgeway and her mom, Shirley, were by her side when she passed away. Funeral arrangements are pending.
We will keep Shirley and her family in our prayers. Here is her address:
