Remember the Mousketeers?

Scroll down for updates

Those who went to Miller Elementary may remember Nancy Hartley. Her uncle was Jimmy Dodd, the host for the Mousketeer Club.

In 1955, 12-year-old Annette Funicello was discovered by Walt Disney as she performed as the Swan Queen in Swan Lake at a dance recital in Burbank.

And Mousketeer Don Grady was a 1962 grad of BHS!

  1. Cathy-Jimmy Dodd was in our home when I was a little boy. He was a Christian, and spoke at our old First Baptist Church, and after the service came for an "after church get-together" at our house, along with other folks, too. Also, Annette Funicello's parents lived the last few years at "Belmont Village" in Burbank, a retirement and assisted living residence where I have a number of elderly friends living. A number of your '67 classmates have, or have had, parents living there, too, including Mrs. Atencio, Mrs. Beninato, and Mrs. Coldwell. Anyway, Mrs. Funicello died in 2007 at age 86, and Mr. Funicello died in 2009 at age 93. Alan Landros, '70

  2. That is so cool - thanks for sharing, Alan!!
