The Senior Bulldog Foundation is having a "changing of the guard", so to speak...
Senior Bulldogs
Approve New Board
Members
At the March Senior Bulldogs Luncheon on March 7th, a new group of BHS Alums were approved by the members attending the luncheon, as the next Senior Bulldog Foundation Board of Directors
.
Since the current Board (Nadine Berkland Magee '47-President, Gus Ghiselli '47-Vice President, Bill Magee '47-Treasurer, Pam Zipfel Kirkwood '64-Secretary, Dick Santoyo '49-Chairman of Scholarship Committee) have held their offices for over six years, it was decided that elections for officers should take place every 2 years, with Board Meetings to be held at least 3 times per year.
The new Board Members are:
Ray Brown '47
Bill Magee '47
Linda Durkee Johnson '59
John Coyle '65
Santa Vessella Calderon '65
Carol Brown Baker '67
Cathy Nicholls Coyle '67
Sallie Shelton Thomas '68
Once the New Board is "in place", they will elect the new officers, whose names and respective offices will be reported to you.
In the meantime, former Board Members will stay "on board" to help with the transition process of officer duties to newly-elected Board Members.
A BIG BULLDOG WELCOME to our New Board and a BIG THANKS to them for "Stepping Up" to carry on the wonderful legacy of our Senior Bulldog Foundation.

This is a word from George Colvin '65, about a Retirement Party honoring Denny Lombard '67 (brother to Trudie Lombard Hentze '65)...
Hi Pam,
I attended Denny Lombard's (class of 67) retirement party from Lockheed Martin a few days ago. I thought some of the "loopers" would be interested in knowing what all went on. It was a wonderful event. His co-workers gave him commendations for his 41 years at the Company. He was even called by one presenter a "National Treasure" for his work photographing Top Secret planes. It was very touching. The man went on to say if you see a photo of the Stealth Fighter, it was probably filmed by Denny. His work can be seen in many Aerospace magazines. I worked with him years ago before I retired. He was always a joy to work with. His laugh was infectious. One man summed it up by saying
that term "Denny Lombard" should be in the dictionary not as a name but as a type of person everyone should aspire to be.
Take care,
George Colvin
***Congratulations Denny!!!
