ALAN LEE STONE, BHS '67
February 23, 1948, Glendale, California ~ August 19, 2020, Toluca Lake, California

Alan Stone went to be with his Savior on August 19, 2020, in his sleep. His beloved wife, Ginny, passed away in January 2020, while Alan was hospitalized for a broken hip. Alan recently moved to Evergreen Retirement Residence near Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake where he immediately became an integral part of the community. His passing will be grieved by former co-workers at the BUSD and the Burbank Public Works Department, as well as the many who knew him from church and the Burbank community. While growing up Alan lived at 830 Bethany Rd. in Burbank. He attended Emerson Elementary, John Muir Junior High, and Burbank High, graduating in 1967. Alan's sister, Kathy Stone Hunsaker, from BHS '69, lives in Sutherlin, Oregon, and sister, Karen Stone Messervier, from BHS '70, lives in Eloy, Arizona.

The photo below is Alan and his younger sister, Karen.

Barry Burnett, BHS '72, asked me to post this news about the passing of Alan Stone.

  1. Alan Stone passed away at a retirement home on the same block as Bob's Big Boy Toluca Lake. An old hangout for some. I wonder if he planned it that way?
