David A. MacCaughtry (1949 - 2015)
Obituary
On March 26, 2015, David A. MacCaughtry Jr passed away after a battle with cancer. He was 65 years of age.
David was born in Burbank, California on April 6, 1949 to Faith and David MacCaughtry. He attended Burbank schools and graduated from Burbank High School in 1967, and went on to Valley College.
David took a job at AT&T in 1968 and spent the next 30 years working for the company. Later, he became a consultant and Pole Climbing Instructor for ASAP company.
David played on several Burbank Softball League teams over the years. He collected antique rifles and was an active member of the Burbank Muzzle Loaders. David enjoyed camping in their motorhome with his family and friends and visited several places around the country. David loved telling stories and jokes. He loved people and everyone he met became a friend to him.
David is survived by his wife, Betty Jo of 47 years; his sister, Joan Baker; daughter, Dana MacCaughtry; son Tony MacCaughtry (Rachel); four grand children, Kyle, A.J., Colton and Cayden; and many more family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, 1075 E. Daily Drive., Camarillo, CA on Saturday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m. For more information please contact Griffin Family Funeral Chapels at at (805) 482-1166
