Barbara "June Cleaver" Billingsley, mother on 'Leave It to Beaver,' was born on my birthday, December 22. Sad to report that she died today, Saturday, at her home in Santa Monica of the rheumatoid disorder polymyalgia. She was 94.
Barbara/June was the model 1950's mom clad in dresses, high heels and pearls even while vacuuming.
We will all miss Mrs. Cleaver!
