WOW! What a work of art! (only a former T.P.'er would make that statement - lol!)

I remember that one of the best parts of the basketball games was sitting in the bleachers discussing who we were going to T.P. that night.

One time, while tossing and flinging rolls of toilet paper all over Janet Prater's house, the sprinklers suddenly came on and we ran to the car laughing our heads off!

When my house was hit, my parents were a bit ticked as we couldn't get the T.P. off the tippy top of the big tree and had to let nature take it's course to dissolve the white fluffy bits blowing in the wind - it was there for quite a while, and in my eyes, it was a memorial to the honor being T.P.'ed.

Our neighbors down the street got surprised one morning when they discovered they had been "Magnificently" T-Peed! Can you believe they still participate in this event?

Even their cars got t-p'd and they left the toilet paper rolls on the antena of their Convertible Saturn!

Wow, those pix of the "tee peed" house, really brought back memories...I wish I had the pictures of our house the time the Basketball Team got me! My Dad came in and woke me up and said, "Come out here, there is something I want you to see!" Honestly, it looked like "fairyland"...They did a fabulous job and it was all done in baby blue, pink and white TP...I am not sure we ever got it all out of the trees, as you said, "Mother Nature" eventually got the rest of it. I always figured it was kind of an "honor" being the victim of a T-Peeing event...My parents were pretty good-natured about it, except the cleaning up part...

I can remember being part of T-Peeing plots a few times...Like nobody KNEW what we were up to when we went into Bill's Ranch Market and bought dozens and dozens of rolls of Charmin or whatever...

Glad to hear some of these harmless pranks are still alive and well!!!

CP & Pam,
Your T-Ping stories are great! All I can remember is t-ping Mike Fann's house with you, CP, and Jeani Crichlow; while Carol and Mike were in it! We were laughing so hard we could barely hang the TP on the trees! I'm sure I could find more stories in my Diary. Guess if we didn't have those Diaries we sure wouldn't remember much!

Last Night's Centennial Mtg

Thanks to Cathy (Nicholls) Coyle, one of our ace investigative reporters, for the following update!

I went to the Centennial Meeting last night. They had a very full agenda. Everything is coming together slowly but surely. They would like to get more sponsors and more alumni to register on the Centennial website. Dave Thomson will be contacting some of the alumni that have written Interviews on the website. He wants to get more detail on some of the memories that they have written about so that they can be published in the upcoming BHS Centennial Yearbook. The deadlines are fast approaching us!

The deadline for the Distinguished Alumni nominees is June 1, 2008.

The deadline to put items in the Centennial Yearbook is June 6, 2008.

Linda Durkee Johnson was there to encourage more alumni to join the Centennial Drill Team. She has about 20 members so far. Shari Deuel Nicholls can sew the skirts for those of you who need a seamstress to make your Drill Team skirts. She can be contacted at: riderunrepeat@aim.com. You can obtain the Centennial t-shirts for $10 at the BHS Student Store. Or, Fred Cooke may have some at the BHS/JBHS Alumni picnic scheduled for June 28th at Johnny Carson Park . They will also have an online store set up on the Centennial website at a future date.

They talked about lots of publicity including newspaper articles and street banners. They have contacted Kim Fields, Class of '86, (Tootie in Facts of Life) and, of course our own Anson (Heimlick) Williams from Class of '67 will be there!


Dale Kristien, from Phantom of the Opera, will sing the National Anthem at the Football Game on Saturday, Sept. 13th and will be singing at the Centennial Gala that night. They also talked about contacting Don Grady, Class of '62, (My Three Sons) to see if he could participate in the Centennial as well.

The City of Burbank has approved the BHS Centennial Celebration's participation in the Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 26th, which will begin at 11:00 a.m. at McCambridge Park . They will be setting up a special Press Area for families who have lost loved ones in the War. Afterwards there will be a "Rededication Ceremony of the War Memorial Plaque" at BHS from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

I took my Mom, Katie Nicholls, BHS Class of Winter '38 to the meeting. We will be attending the Rededication Ceremony of the War Memorial Plague at BHS. My Mom lost her only brother, my Uncle, Thomas Hunter, Class of '40 in World War II. He is buried in the Sai Wan War Cemetery in Hong Kong.


Don't forget that on Sunday, September 14th, our Class of 67 will be having a breakfast at Joan and Freddie Ortega's. We want to see all of you there! Following the breakfast there will be a "Free" Classic Car Show at BHS. There will be food to be purchased there provided by Handi Mart.

Alumni Drill Team Update

OK……here's what’s happening…..we may have someone who will sew skirt for those who need a seamstress…also, since we will be so organized and looking sharp, I thought we should treat the audience at the football game, (that will happen later that day) to half time entertainment….....oh yes! Burbank on Parade 2008 Photos

Thanks Linda Mustion! Below are photos she took of yesterday's parade with the Alumni Drill Team and our class of '67 Anson Williams as Grand Marshall.

The BHS Centennial Booth took 1st Place in the Novelty Section receiving a trophy and the first band was from BHS. Also in the parade was BHS principal Bruce Osgood with teacher & centennial chairman, Dave Thomson.

And no 50's parade would be complete without ELVIS!

HI Cathy and everyone else!

I was sad to read about my old friend Bill Tideback. Funny how I can remember exact conversations with him after all these eons.

Anyway, I live on the island of Lanai where my wife Sharie and I are the mental health providers for the whole population of 3000 or so. We love it here even though we are very busy and isolated, hence I won't be at the reunion.

I got a call from Jim Ranshaw out of the blue and that got me thinking about Burbank Hi and I found the webpage.

So, aloha to everybody and feel free to email me anytime with news of the folks. I haven't been back to Burbank in decades so I'm sure lots have happened, unlike here. The arrival of our baby goat made the newspaper...with a photo!

Dr. Greg Sanders, Lanai High Behavioral Health Specialist serves as one of the drawing and painting mentors. He is currently teaching oil painting to four students meet him after school several days per week. “We like Dr. Greg because he tells us jokes, but he never laughs at his own jokes,” said one of Sander’s mentees who didn’t want to give his name. “Oh and he’s also a good painter himself. Oh, and he’s always on time and is always there, no matter what. And he likes the pictures we paint.”

I have been working for awhile on my own special memorial for our 1967 deceased classmates. I was waiting to get a couple of more headstone photos before sending you the link, but after receiving your email in regards to George Key, I decided not to wait any longer before sending the link to our 1967 Find A Frave Memorials that I have created.

How Find A Grave (FAG) works is simple. It is free to registrar and it is like visiting a cemetery from the comfort of home. You can click on my name and see my bio and how long I have been a member and how many memorials and photos I have done. One of the neat things at FAG is you can create your own virtual cemeteries which I have 14 and one is to our 1967 deceased classmates. Another one I just started is BHS deceased alumni with the exception of 1967 as they have their own. I have added many of my family members including my parents who are both buried in Missouri and that is where I will someday be buried.

In regards to George Key, both his parents are deceased and he is buried next to them.

I am sending the link to my FAG Virtual Cemetery for our 1967 deceased classmates. The information I used was from our yearbooks, my research and your website, their Obits. and family and classmates rememberances. The little flower next to their name means that a flower was left for them and most are from me as I left one for each classmate. The little picture frame next to their name means a bio and the small headstone next to their name means there is a photo of their headstone. I think you may want to include each individual link be put under each of their photos on your memorial page.

Hope you enjoy my efforts as it is nice that we remember our deceased classmates. The good thing is I can update the information as I get more infro...........
