Just received the sad news that BHS alumni Hetty (Niers) Gaeb, class '65, passed away this past Sunday, December 13th, 2009.
There will be a memorial for her at Normady Park Church of Christ in Seattle, WA on Saturday, December 19th at 10:00.

December 20, 2009 UPDATE
Hetty went into the hospital last Thursday because she had a toe bothering her. With her diabetes she had already had one removed. The doctor decided to keep her in the hospital to do some testing, so she went in with the thought that she would have to have another toe removed. By Friday she was in cardiac arrest and put on life support. Hetty passed away on Sunday with her two sons by her side.
"But in spite of all she had been through she remained the most 'up' person I've known. Always grateful for another day of life, loved her boys and grandchildren and her friends. She will be missed by all those who knew her", said her friend Nancy Wills.
