"IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL...!" Who's NOT been to Disneyland/Disney World?? Thank you for your wonderful update and terrific photos, Lauralee. You will be missed, so please stay in touch!
Cathy,
Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the reunion, but I wanted to at least send a couple of pictures along with a brief recap of the last few years.
As some of you know, we moved to Florida in 1989 and are fast approaching twenty years in Orlando! It's hard to believe, especially when we felt we would always be in Burbank. Your Blog has brought back a flood of memories, and has made me a little homesick for the old times. I would have loved to attend the luncheon at Bob's Big Boy; we've visited California a few times over the past years and have always taken the time to visit the restaurant and "relive" the old times.
As you can see by the pictures, my family has grown. In addition to our three children (Juli, Shannon and Jason), we've been blessed with four grandkids - Adele, Addison, Landon and William, ages 10, 5, 3, and 1 respectively. The grandkids are a little spread-out (two in Kansas City and two in Tampa), and we really enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. Our son Jason just got married a year or so ago, and he and his wife have settled close to us in Florida.
As you will probably notice in one of the pictures (the one with (Mickey Mouse!), my husband retired in February of this year (after 38 years!!) and we are hoping to do more traveling. We've been lucky enough to go on four Disney cruises over the past five years and expect we will take another cruise next year and try to have a family reunion with our kids and grandkids.
I'm still working part-time as a vendor at Disney, so Disney remains a major part of our lives. Who would have thought those many years ago that we would now be in Florida and have worked so long for the "big" mouse. It has made us very popular with the grandkids, however.
I really appreciate all the work and effort you've put into making the Reunion a success. The Blog is excellent, and it really stirs the memories we all had at Burbank High 40 years ago. Great job!
Thanks.
